Scammer Warning – OSRS Catfish “lilbugg15” a.k.a. Kylie (Lilbugg15)


On March 2nd, 2025, I was scammed out of harmonised nightmare staff worth 500 million GP by a Discord user going by the display name “lilbugg15”, who pretended to be a woman named “Kylie.” This individual is actually a catfish — a man using stolen Facebook photos and a fake identity to emotionally manipulate people in the Old School RuneScape community for personal gain.


After building trust, they took 600M in items and never paid it back. Instead, in an absurd and transparent attempt to avoid responsibility, they claimed they would “fly down to visit me” — only to later admit they had just $20 total to their name. The flight offer wasn’t sincere — it was a desperate lie meant to distract from the scam.


When I confronted them about still being upset, they acted like the 600M “wasn’t a big deal.” But here’s the reality:


In RuneScape, the only Jagex-approved way to convert real money into GP is through bonds.


Bonds are worth about 15 million GP each and cost approximately $7 USD through the official RuneScape website. 600M GP through bonds would require around 34 bonds, meaning the scammed amount held a real-world value of roughly $238 USD — using the official exchange rate sanctioned by Jagex.


So yes — this wasn’t “just in-game gold.” It represented real time, effort, or money — regardless of how it was acquired. That makes the scam not only emotionally manipulative, but financially abusive as well.


Other red flags that confirm this person is a serial manipulator:


She’s changed her OSRS username 7 times since the scam, spending over 100M GP to cover her tracks.


Uses a name-wiping trick: changes usernames twice in short succession, which removes the long-term record of previous names from in-game view.


Sent fake selfies via Discord, which we later traced with AI to a real woman’s Facebook and an adult website— proving she was using someone else’s identity the entire time. I’m willing to provide the original source privately to any moderator or admin for verification.


This is part of a clear, calculated cycle: catfish → scam → rename →repeat.


If you’re approached by someone like this — who builds emotional connections, asks for GP, dodges repayment, or becomes evasive — do not trust them.


Edit : early hours of May 9th 2025 she randomly messaged me off her old discord mentioning she's being accused of other thonigs by other clans/players and wanted to know if I was anything to do with it. I proceeded that I'd help her aslong as they confessed to them items I leant to her.


She now has made an entirely new discord due to backlash from other players (which doesn't surprise me).


We spoke for abit from her new discord which I'll link below. She's offered to help pay me back, she has paid me back 24m of the 500m damages (thats equal to a harmonised staff) she paid 24m on May 9th 2025. She seems she wants to set things right as she mentions she feels bad.


Ofcourse 24m isn't much at all compared to 500m but she claimed its all that she has at the moment.


She's changed her rsn multiple times since, I've edited her new rsn in the case.
